Getting Started with FreeCash
First off, FreeCash has a pretty impressive offer wall with a variety of tasks to earn extra cash. The main categories are surveys, games, and sign-up offers. Here’s a tip: make sure you sign up for FreeCash from your laptop. Signing up on your phone might land you with the lite version, which only includes phone games. If you already signed up on your phone, don’t worry — you’ll get upgraded to the full version once you hit $20 in earnings.
Day 1: Diving Into Games
I kicked off by testing the games. This part of FreeCash is pretty cool because not many companies pay you to play games on your phone. You get paid every time you reach a new level — the higher you go, the more you earn. On the first day, I signed up on my phone, relaxed on the couch, and started playing.
The main benefit of this side hustle is that you can earn money while doing something as simple as playing games on your phone. However, I realized I couldn’t spend all day playing, so I limited my gaming to about 2 hours a day to get accurate results for you all. Over the next few days, I balanced gaming with my regular activities — eating, cleaning, working, and even exercising.
Day 3: Sign-Up Offers
By day three, I was a bit tired of playing games, so I decided to try some sign-up offers. Some offers, like signing up for Coinbase, were easy and didn’t require much effort. Others required spending a little money, like starting a trial membership with Experian for $1 but offered a reward greater than the cost. If there are apps or services you were already planning to use, this can be a great way to earn some extra cash. One of the offers I ended up testing was with a cashback app called Upside which led to me earning $18 for filling up my gas tank!
Day 7: Exploring Surveys
I also tried different surveys. You can sort them by highest reward, quickest, or top-rated. Personally, I prefer shorter surveys, around 2–3 minutes, because they help build momentum and start earning faster. However, if you don’t mind spending extra time, you can find higher-paying surveys for more cash.
Results: How Much Did I Make?
After 10 days, mostly playing games on my phone, I made just under $70. It’s not the most money I’ve made from a side hustle, but it’s decent considering I was mainly playing games. For cashout options, FreeCash offers plenty, from PayPal to ACH transfer to Bitcoin and various gift cards. I chose PayPal for this test.
